The Rules of Play

Welcome to FLOC Games.

We make games. These are the slightly less exciting rules for using our website and buying them.

When we say “we”, “us” or “FLOC”, we mean FLOC Games Limited. Our online store is powered by Shopify.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.

Simple enough. On with the rules.

1. Using Our Site

You must be legally able to use our Services and make purchases where you live.

If you create an account or place an order, please make sure the information you give us is accurate and up to date.

You’re responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity carried out through your account.

Please don’t sell, transfer or lend your account to somebody else.

2. Our Games

We do our best to show our products accurately.

However, colours and appearance can vary slightly depending on your screen, device and settings.

Product descriptions, availability and specifications may occasionally change, and we may update or discontinue products when necessary.

Basically, if the red card looks very slightly more red on your phone, don't panic.

3. Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy from us.

Your order is accepted once we confirm it and successfully process your payment.

We may occasionally need to refuse, change or cancel an order. If that happens, we’ll try to contact you using the details you provided.

Please check your basket carefully before pressing the big exciting BUY button, as we may not always be able to change an order once it has been processed.

Our Refund Policy and your applicable consumer rights cover returns, refunds and exchanges.

4. Prices & Payment

The price you pay is the price shown when you place your order, subject to any obvious pricing error.

Prices, promotions and discounts may change from time to time.

Any applicable delivery costs or other charges will be shown during checkout where required.

You agree to provide accurate payment and billing information and confirm that you’re authorised to use the payment method you provide.

No Monopoly money, unfortunately.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We’ll do our best to get your games to you within the delivery times shown.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly tell you otherwise, and delays can occasionally happen because of couriers, customs or events outside our reasonable control.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

If something goes wrong with your delivery, contact us and we’ll help sort it out.

6. Our Stuff Is Our Stuff

The FLOC name, logos, games, artwork, graphics, photographs, videos, text, website designs and other original content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You’re very welcome to enjoy them.

You’re not welcome to copy, reproduce, distribute, sell or commercially exploit them without our permission.

Play our games. Don’t nick them.

Third-party names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

7. Third-Party Tools & Links

Sometimes our website may use tools, services or links provided by other companies.

We don’t control those third-party services and their own terms and privacy policies may apply.

If you leave our website and head off somewhere else on the internet, check their rules too.

8. Shopify

FLOC Games is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with FLOC Games.

By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and FLOC Games, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services.

You release Shopify and its affiliates from claims, damages and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with FLOC Games, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Privacy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Because our store runs on Shopify, some information may also be processed by Shopify and its service providers.

Have a read. We’ve even tried to make that one reasonably painless.

10. Reviews, Ideas & Feedback

If you send us reviews, suggestions, comments or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share it.

Unless we agree otherwise, you give us permission to use, reproduce, publish, adapt and display that content for purposes connected with FLOC and our products, including marketing.

Please don't submit anything that is:

• Illegal

• Abusive or defamatory

• Someone else's copyrighted material

• Deliberately misleading

• Packed with viruses or malicious code

You remain responsible for anything you submit.

And if you send us the idea “Monopoly but with sheep”, we make absolutely no promises.

11. Mistakes Happen

Occasionally our website may contain an error involving things like:

• Product information

• Prices

• Promotions

• Availability

• Delivery charges

• Delivery times

If we spot an error, we may correct or update it.

Where an error affects an order you’ve already placed, we’ll deal with it in accordance with applicable law and contact you where appropriate.

12. Don't Be That Person

Please use our website lawfully and reasonably.

You must not use it to:

• Break the law.

• Infringe somebody else's rights.

• Harass, threaten or abuse people.

• Spread false or misleading information.

• Send spam.

• Upload viruses or malicious software.

• Steal or collect other people's personal information.

• Circumvent our security systems.

• Scrape, copy or commercially exploit our website without permission.

• Pretend to be somebody else.

We may restrict or terminate access if these rules are broken.

13. Bots, Agents & Automated Tools

Automated software, AI agents, bots or similar tools must not access or interact with our Services in ways that disguise their identity, circumvent security measures or ignore restrictions we have put in place.

Where we permit automated agents to access our Services, they must identify themselves truthfully and comply with any technical requirements we specify.

No robot sneaking in wearing a fake moustache.

14. Suspending or Ending Access

We may suspend or terminate access to our Services where reasonably necessary, including where these Terms have been breached or our website, customers or business could be put at risk.

Any rights or obligations that logically need to continue after termination will continue to apply.

15. Warranties

We work hard to keep our website accurate, secure and available, but we can't promise it will always be completely error-free or uninterrupted.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Our Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Subject to that, we will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from your use of our website or products where such losses were not reasonably foreseeable.

These Terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

17. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for losses or claims caused by your unlawful use of our Services, your breach of these Terms or your infringement of another person's rights, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. If One Rule Doesn't Work

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Think of it as removing one dodgy card without binning the whole deck.

19. The Whole Agreement

These Terms, together with any policies referred to here, form the agreement between you and us regarding your use of our website and Services.

If we don't enforce a particular right straight away, that doesn't mean we've given it up.

20. Transferring These Terms

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to somebody else without our permission.

We may transfer our rights and obligations where reasonably necessary as part of running, restructuring or transferring the business.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to FLOC Games Limited and your purchase, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

22. Changes to These Terms

From time to time, these Terms may need an update.

The newest version will always be available on this page, along with the date it was last updated.

Where required by law, we'll let you know about any significant changes.
